OK, all the archives are here, now it is a matter of tweakage.
So welcome, pour yourself a cup of coffee, amaze yourselves with my archives, and any (gentle!) suggestions for improvements are welcome!
And mostly, I could not have done this without Pixy Misa's help, mostly because I am completely useless at web stuff. I am the brains behind this website, not the brawn. So tough cookie Pixy fixed it all up for me.
I would give him my soul, but I promised that to Don at Anger Management already. Instead, I will give you a voucher for a box of Cap'n Crunch. It's just as rewarding.

Posted by Everydaystranger at October 6, 2003 05:29 PM | TrackBackToo late. You took so long to claim it that I ate the last stale remains. Am in heaven now, and the roof of my mouth has been acid melted in Cap'n Crunch heaven...mmmm....
Posted by: H at October 8, 2003 03:44 PMThank you, schmank you. I want my Cap'n Crunch, bitch.
Posted by: David at October 8, 2003 03:33 PMHi David (et al)!
Got it done now! If you refresh, it should be in Arial.
THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! to everyone who tried to help me with it. And David, you did approach it perfectly-when explaining web things to me, speak slowly and don't blitz me with terms like "HTML realignment", "secondary binary code" and "elaborate motherboard replacement surgery".
Explaining it slowly and in steps helps. Otherwise my brain blows up.
Posted by: h at October 8, 2003 07:51 AMOops, skipped a step.
When you first log in, it says "Welcome to the Main Menu" at the top of the screen. Click on the Manage Weblog link, then you'll see the buttons I mentioned.
Posted by: David at October 7, 2003 05:37 PMThere are no wrong answers.
Please forgive me if this is too dumbed-down. I really don't know what technical level you work at.
Okay, so you're using the Moveable Type interface. You should see some buttons on the left of the screen that say things like:
Go to Templates.
Once you're in Templates, the default options are:
You want to edit the Stylesheet template.
There should be a .blogbody entry in there, just as Jim said. You can replace it with the code he provided, and it should change the font on your posts.
Moveable Type really is a great publishing system once you get the hang of it.
Posted by: David at October 7, 2003 05:34 PMWhy yes, I'd like a little white girl under my desk right now. Where do I sign up for that?
Back to blogging. I know nothing about the mu.nu setup. Do you use a desktop client to publish your blog, or do you do it through your browser?
Posted by: David at October 7, 2003 04:30 PMWelcome!
Posted by: Ted at October 7, 2003 04:20 PMWhat? Control panel? Stylesheet? Code tags? I see none of these things! And I don't see any of the code that you listed, Jim.
I think my head blew up.
Little white girl underneath the desk in a fetal position now.
Posted by: H at October 7, 2003 12:34 PMFYI - Code tags don't work in comments. Either do small tags. :(
Posted by: Jim at October 7, 2003 12:24 PMWhat Dave said. Here's an example of the section you're looking for: (let's see if code tags work in comments here)
.blogbody {
font-family:verdana, arial, sans-serif;
color:#666;
font-size:small;
font-weight:normal;
background:#FFF;
line-height:140%;
border-left:1px solid #666;
border-right:1px solid #666;
border-bottom:1px solid #666;
padding:10px;
}
You want that first line of the section and what I have here will give you Verdana/arial.
Email me if you can't get it.
OK, Joey and David have given mucho tips on how to change the font. But I am an idiot and cannot find that tag in my template. I may have to drown myself in coffee to try to survive.
Posted by: H at October 7, 2003 09:06 AMCongratulations. i'm planning to move to a paid service myself, but like everything I do, I am putting deep thought and research into it. Lol! I will do so when I can afford it, the site looks great!
Posted by: Melodrama at October 7, 2003 06:10 AMHelen, you want Arial?
I'm not 100% sure, but here's a guess.
1. Log into your Moveable Type control panel.
2. Go to Templates.
3. Go to Stylesheet.
4. Find the .blogbody style entry.
5. Change the font-family value to tahoma,arial
Of course, I could be horribly, terribly wrong.
Incidentally, I am very hurt that my comment on your old blog referencing the Wampaging Willy is now lost. I hold you personally responsible, you hear?
Posted by: David at October 7, 2003 05:56 AMWhat no Xanga? :( Will always have Blogspot :)

At the top of the page, drop down the little box where it says "Everyday Stranger" and choose "Munuviana" instead. Click on Go, and you can post to Munuviana.

Posted by: Pixy Misa at October 6, 2003 06:26 PMOh yes, I know your type. When you want something done, it's kittens and souls and first-born childses and boxes of Cap'n Crunch, but... Err, where was I?
In any case, I shall now perform the traditional Munuvian greeting ritual:
Yay!
Thank you.
